Life is difficult. You can be coasting along, only to wake up and find you just don’t have the same kind of joy and excitement that you used to. Activities and being with people you used to enjoy now just feel dull and lifeless, and, no matter what you do, nothing changes. You feel stuck in a hopeless situation. Thoughts about tasks you have to do or people with whom you have to interact throughout the day feel overwhelming and fill you with anxiety. You have difficulty falling asleep because your mind just won’t “turn off,” and, when you finally do fall asleep, you wake up feeling exhausted and unrested. Your relationships may often be defined by constant fighting, feeling insecure about yourself or the relationship, or by a lack of connection and excitement. Sometimes, issues of sexual integrity fill you with guilt and shame and, no matter how hard you try, you keep falling into the same struggle.
You are welcome here, no matter your story or your struggles. I provide a safe, warm environment and a caring relationship where you can feel truly listened to and understood and where we can work together to find hope and healing. You will leave with a greater understanding of the nature of your challenges, skills to give you the confidence to manage them and approach life courageously, a renewed sense of hope, and the ability to become the author of the joy and fulfillment for which you long. I specialize in helping people experiencing sleep issues, anxiety, depression, anger, struggles with sexual integrity, and marital and couples issues.
I reside in St. Louis and received my Master of Arts in Counseling, graduating magna cum laude from Covenant Theological Seminary. I am certified in Brain Restorative Sleep: A Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia and have completed Levels 1 and 2 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. I enjoy playing and composing music, practicing martial arts, and spending time with friends. I am also an active member of the St. Louis Table Tennis Club.
